I really wanted to get this post out before the new year but I was having too much fun celebrating with my friends :)  I watched A LOT of movies in 2011, not as many as I hoped,  it's just too expensive to go to the movies every weekend. We did end up going to a lot of free movie screenings, another reason why I love LA.
There are still a few movies that came out recently (2011) that I still need to see, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, War Horse..., but for the moment these are my top 10 films of 2011.

10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2

9. 50/50

8. Drive

7. Super 8

6. Martha Marcy May Marlene

5. The Tree of Life

4. The Artist

3. Hugo

2. Midnight in Paris

1. Beginners

There were so many wonderful films that came out last year, here are a few other favorites that didn't make my top 10, you should see them all! Trust me :)
The Future
Jane Eyre
Submarine
Bridesmaids
Shame
The Descendants

What were your favorite movies of 2011?

  9. I feel so proud of myself because I've actually seen quite a few of these. I went into the theater to see Drive not realizing it was a gang movie.. and I was sure up for a surprise. Loved it though, and I'm glad i didn't know or I might not have gone to see it.
