you call yourself a free spirit

Sunday, December 5, 2010

After this last week of finals the quarter will be over and I'll be free from school for the month of December. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on some classic movies and some classic books.
After church today a few friends and I drove to a thrift store and spent an hour perusing the junk and they were slightly over priced, but the books, the books were great! Buy one get one free, I got 8 books for $8, what a deal. I found a classic Alice in Wonderland book that I can't wait to read.

Can't wait to finish these finals so I can watch Breakfast at Tiffany's.

“You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, ‘Okay, life’s a fact.’ People DO fall in love. People do belong to each other. Because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness. You call yourself a free spirit, a wild thing, yet you’re terrified that somebody’s gonna put you in a cage. Well, baby, you’re already in a cage and you built it yourself”

  1. oh yes! i never saw the end of pretty in pink & have been wanting to finish it for a long time. my very favorite part in the movie (of what i have seen) is when the two main characters spend the day doing things they have never done before (like going to a library & shoplifting). so cute & so fun!

good luck this week! i'm just entering dead week here at my university (i still have to tell you where it is! email me? dandelion.lina@yahoo.com). ugh. i just want it all to be over!

  4. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland, especially the original (non-Disney) illustrations! UO has some lovely plates and glasses with them - I bought all the glasses for my sister a few Christmases ago. They are back in stock, along with a bunch of other cute stuff!
