they'll name a city after us

Wow, where have I been lately??? SUPER BUSY. School and weekend adventures, I just got back a few hours ago from a Fall Retreat with my christian group on camps, Real Life.  It was such a great time to get away, make some new friends and uh go to Six Flags Magic Mountain! :) God really moved in great ways this weekend, and it was truly unforgettable. I should have a few pictures for you a little later, I promise.
Last weekend I went to the bay area, originally to watch the Ucla vs. Cal game but we decided to visit the city of San Francisco instead. We had two cars of people going up, It was about a 6 hourish drive from L.A. not too terrible. We arrived in Berkeley late Friday night and met up at Lucky House Thai. mostly everybody ordered pad thai (mild) except Gustavo had to ask how hot the hot was, the lady said, "ummm, too hot for you!" So of course he took on the challenge and ordered the hot pad tai along with Bill. Our mild pad thai was delicious, Gustavo and Bill however, had a little trouble enjoying it with their mouths salivating, their foreheads sweating and yes, there were even tears. Afterwards, the lady who worked there came up to them and told them to wait because the chefs were making them an iced boba for taking on the"challenge"! If they would have known it was so hot that they named it a "challenge", I don't think they would have taken it. Haha, it was pretty funny to watch.

I had so much fun on my first trip to SF, I absolutely loved it. We did tons of walking and tons of eating, so I guess it evened out. Saturday night we stopped by Fisherman's Wharf and bought a bread bowl and other treats from the stands and sat on the dock and watched the sunset. It was a perfect night.

We had the opportunity to go to Reality San Francisco, what an awesome church! We had a beautiful and intimate time of worship and of course food after, yum!  We went to a little cafe right across the street, and it was delicious and perfect. To sum up my past two weekends: perfect.
Oh, and I must tell, my new vintage dooney and bourke bag was (drum roll please).... $20 at a local thrift store. I wasn't even in there to shop, but I could NOT pass that up, couldn't do it. Well that is all for now, hopefully it won't take me another two weeks to update.

Have a great weekend everyone ♥

  6. Haha love the story of the ultra-spicy thai food! I had that once when someone asked me if I wanted chilisauce on my falafel; i was like:
    'Yeeaah, go ahead'
    'But it's spicy'
    'I like spicy'

But it was like CRAZY spicy. Even my boyfriend, who is like the King of Spicy Food, thought it was impossible to eat. :( Yeah I don't really how this is relevant to anything or anyone, but that was my spicy anecdote.

    Your photos look super-fun! xx
